HAITI DISASTER RELIEF
On Tuesday, January 12 (2010), the island nation of Haiti was ravaged by a major earthquake. The disaster has resulted in the loss of thousands of innocent lives.

On behalf of its members, the Greater Boston Chapter of Blacks In Government wishes to extend its condolences to the people of Haiti and to their loved ones here in the U.S., especially here in Boston - home to a large Haitian immigrant population. We remember you in our prayers.

The Greater Boston Chapter urges all its members to contribute voluntarily to the relief efforts in support of Haiti. These efforts are immediate and will need to be sustained for a long time. Below is a list of some reputable non-profit organizations that are currently present and on the ground in Haiti with the logistical means and capacity to help the people of Haiti.
